Shuffle.com Adds Support for Solana Stablecoin $CASH

Following user demand, Shuffle.com now supports $CASH, a Solana-based stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, for both deposits and withdrawals.

The announcement means that if you hold $CASH, you can now use the token to move funds into and out of your Shuffle account.

Designed to work differently from cryptocurrencies like BTC or SOL, where a price is intended to rise and fall with the wider crypto market, $CASH is designed to simply represent one US dollar.

The addition gives Shuffle users another way to fund their accounts using a digital dollar instead of a more volatile cryptocurrency.

What Is the $CASH Stablecoin?

$CASH is a dollar-pegged stablecoin built on the Solana blockchain.

A stablecoin is a type of cryptocurrency designed to maintain a relatively stable value against another asset, usually a fiat currency such as the US dollar. In the case of $CASH, the target is $1 per token, however it is not always precisely equal.

The token was designed by Phantom and is issued through Bridge's Open Issuance infrastructure, with Stripe involved in that infrastructure.

This makes $CASH different from SOL, the native cryptocurrency of the Solana network. SOL's market price can move substantially, whereas $CASH is intended to maintain a dollar value.

How $CASH Transactions Work

In simple terms, $CASH can be viewed as digital dollars transferred across the Solana blockchain.

When somebody holds $CASH, the token exists on Solana in their crypto wallet. Because it uses Solana, transactions can be settled on the blockchain and not through the traditional banking system.

For a Shuffle user, depositing $CASH involves sending the tokens from their crypto wallet to the deposit address provided by Shuffle. Once the transaction is confirmed on the Solana network, the corresponding amount is credited to their Shuffle account.

Withdrawals work in reverse: a user requests a $CASH withdrawal from Shuffle, and the tokens are sent to the user's Solana wallet.

How to Make a $CASH Deposit on Shuffle

Use the steps below to deposit $CASH into your Shuffle account:

  1. Sign into your account. If you don’t already have one, you can create one with the Shuffle referral code “MAXBET”.
  2. Open your wallet by clicking the purple “Wallet” button at the top of the page.
  3. Select $CASH from the drop-down menu of accepted cryptocurrencies.
  4. Scan the QR Code or copy the Shuffle wallet address.
  5. Enter your Shuffle wallet information in your crypto wallet.
  6. Enter an amount to send and confirm the transaction.

As soon as Shuffle recognises the payment, the funds will be available in your account to wager with.
